It’s change of season. I know in theory that means lots of changes the body and mind go through, and often this is best articulated through TCM.
Knowing this (but not being an expert on executing it), I made appointment with my amazing TCM doctor.
I think this poor lady has to be half psychologist councillor and part TCM doctor, as I talk a lot when I’m there, and she tries to convince me of things I know I believe but can’t seem to execute.
By way of examples, Autumn is about letting go!
This means the bowels let go. Your emotions let go. Your patience lets go. You get angry. You get sad. Your chest lets go. Your nose blocks and then lets go too.
Now this is by no means an excuse, but something to know you can work through.
For me, I work through it with TCM treatments (often not acupuncture because I’ve got Babe2 crawling around during the session), and as much yoga as I can. Whether it’s a class, or one move when I wake (when I can), to set the tone for the day. If no yoga is available, I try one podcast, to make sure I start the day ‘thinking the brain’, not the ‘brain thinking me’.
