Today I’ve been chatting with people about content marketing strategies, PR, online platforms, communications and the like for their entrepreneurial businesses.

It turned out, the biggest thing standing in their way was the system with which would invoke the action they needed.

An example was a close out survey. People wanted to or meant to do it, but it was sitting on their to do list.

The point here is, there are many tasks in our business which we never get to because they’re not in our system.

This is my little point about performance infrastructure.

Infrastructure and systems might seem like too much rigidity, but it is these systems which allow us to achieve higher performance by not re-doing everything from new every single time, and this opens up space for other thinking, activities, tasks to be done – hence increased productivity and performance.

The other thing is, the reality is that nothing happens until it actually needs to be done, so if you’ve set deadlines and honour them, you’ll get done what is important.

What you make time for, and what you measure, is what gets done.

This is where your vision comes to life by creating strategies and the truely comes to life through an implementation plan which is actually a system which gives you a base.
